Clean Energy Latin America is a leading provider of financial and strategic advice to companies and investors in the renewable energy sector. We have 12 years of experience working with clients in Latin America, offering expertise in consulting, fundraising, project financing, mergers and acquisitions, solar, wind, energy storage, and green hydrogen.

We are seeking a highly skilled Analyst/Consultant to work in financial modeling and investment analysis related to the energy transition. The ideal candidate will have a strong background in financial modeling, project finance, and corporate finance, preferably with previous experience in the electricity sector involving infrastructure, generation, and renewable energy projects.

The successful professional must be proactive, interested in developing skills in various topics within the energy sector, and able to work autonomously. They should also be committed to the energy transition, skilled at cultivating strategic relationships, and contribute to the success of a dynamic and agile consulting team.

Key requirements for this role include:

  • A degree in Administration, Engineering, Economics or related areas.
Postgraduate degrees and certifications such as CFA will be considered a valuable asset;

Essential skills and qualifications include:

  • Domain expertise in corporate finance, accounting, financial modeling, project finance, valuation;
  • Minimum experience of 3 years in project modeling and valuation;
  • Fluent English;
  • Previous experience in the electricity sector, renewable energy projects, energy transition, auctions, and infrastructure projects will be a significant advantage.

Main Responsibilities

Key responsibilities of this role include:

  • Building complex financial models for existing demands and new technologies in the energy sector;
  • Valuation, due diligence, and feasibility analysis of projects;
  • Modeling and analysis of optimal capital structure, fundraising via project finance and/or corporate finance, as well as detailed analysis of cost of capital and returns;
  • Construction and detailed evaluation of sensitivities and scenarios;
  • Supporting other teams in the creation of financial modeling and analysis tools when necessary.
