Position Overview
We are seeking a highly driven Operation Coordinator to oversee our production area. This role is essential in leading the manufacturing sector, ensuring continuous enhancement, adhering to good manufacturing practices, coordinating the production workforce, and supporting projects aimed at improving operations. The Operation Coordinator plays a crucial role in achieving business and plant objectives while fostering efficient production execution and positive employee relations. This position requires ongoing learning, significant collaboration with team members, production units, and support functions, and guiding teams in implementing the plant's strategic goals.

Key Responsibilities

  • Ensure the quality and efficiency of the production department, delivering exceptional service to the Liquids Department.
  • Manage personnel strategies related to the operational team, optimizing batch cycle time, quality, and impacts on the finishing line.
  • Oversee the Production team across three shifts for Home and Personal Care.
  • Guarantee compliance with staffing policies, shift schedules, vacation planning, and training to meet operational needs.
  • Direct the development and execution of daily activities to ensure high performance from both the team and equipment.
  • Manage inventory of materials for the manufacturing area.
  • Supervise the receiving and material analysis department.
  • Identify, propose, and implement enhancements in the manufacturing area and its activities.
  • Support the execution of assigned projects related to Funding the Growth (FTG), Reimagined Strategy Projects, Capital Equipment Budget (CEB), and continuous improvement initiatives.
  • Communicate and implement the local Supply Chain vision, mission, strategy, and objectives within the plant.
  • Facilitate effective communication among teams.
  • Empower team members through training, information sharing, coaching, feedback, performance appraisals, and delegation to foster personal and team development.
  • Ensure adherence to Colgate-Palmolive, local, and governmental guidelines regarding EHS, Quality, and Regulatory standards.
  • Act as a facilitator or sponsor for production lines or autonomous groups within the plant.
  • Comply with all company policies and standards.

Qualifications

  • Bachelor's Degree in Industrial Mechanical Engineering, Mechanics, Mechatronics, Electrical, Electronics, Electrical Mechanics, Chemical or Materials Engineering, or a related field.
  • Extensive experience in production environments.
  • Proven experience in a comparable industry.
  • Familiarity with GMP (Good Manufacturing Practices).
  • Proficient in English.
  • Strong presentation skills.
  • Knowledge of Microsoft Office (Word, Excel, PowerPoint) or Google Suite (Docs, Slides, Sheets).

Preferred Qualifications

  • Experience with SAP systems.
  • Familiarity with WCM (World Class Manufacturing).
  • Knowledge and experience in liquid manufacturing within a similar category.
