Aerodynamics Specialist

As a Mechanical Field Service Engineer, you will lead on-site activities for our global customers. You are responsible for providing technical direction to internal teams and skilled labor to ensure safety, compliance, and quality.

• Perform all mechanical and hydraulic maintenance, repair or replacement of parts as directed.
• Use hand tools and small power tools to conduct general maintenance of Aeroderivative Gas Turbines.
• Execute hands-on job duties on site, including sub-contractor coordination and customer/internal communication.
• Troubleshoot complicated mechanical and hydraulic problems on variable pitch/ variable speed turbines.
• Oversee, overhaul, troubleshoot and commissioning of Aeroderivative products at customer sites.
• Lead in customer and contractor meetings to share and update action plans and to advise on technical solutions.
• Ensure internal training, compliance and quality documentation is updated, followed, and completed according to company standards.
• Ensure all in-field activities carried out safely complying with environmental health & Safety (EHS) guidelines and procedures.

To be successful in this role, you must have a degree in Mechanical Engineering or a Technical level in Mechanics. You should also have an active CREA or CFT certification, previous experience of work as a mechanical technician on aircraft engines, aero-derivative engines or other types of turbine technology, good mechanical/technical and oral communication skills, and a deep awareness of Health, Safety and Environmental compliance and potential risks.
