Epic Games is a leading innovator in game design, pushing the boundaries of what's possible. As a Mobile Game Designer, you will work closely with the gameplay team to craft engaging experiences for mobile players.

About the Role
  • Develop and implement innovative game features and systems that captivate players on Fortnite mobile.
  • Collaborate with design and product teams to identify opportunities to enhance the mobile experience and drive positive change.
  • Utilize Unreal Engine to bring designs to life in Blueprint, working closely with cross-functional teams to deliver high-quality results.
  • Partner with production to continuously evaluate and improve the mobile experience, prioritizing and addressing key issues as they arise.
  • Attend design review meetings to provide insightful feedback on mobile design considerations throughout development.
  • Participate in playtests, offering constructive feedback and identifying practical solutions to problems.
Requirements and Qualifications
  • 3+ years of experience shipping multiple titles as a mobile game designer on Unreal or Unity.
  • Strong passion for Fortnite, battle royale, and multiplayer games, with a deep understanding of what drives their success.
  • Proven experience designing mobile game content for live-service models or relevant online gaming experience.
  • Demonstrated expertise in mobile game development, including controls and UX/UI design.
  • Able to empathize with players and understand their motivations, forms of play, and the impact of goal setting on engagement.
  • Solution-oriented problem solver who can adapt quickly to changing project needs and drive informed decisions.
  • Exceptional communication skills and ability to own the outcome of a cross-functional team.
