Aviation Expert

Overview:

The primary goal of this role is to serve as a key source of knowledge for assigned aircraft models.

Responsibilities include monitoring and enhancing maintenance and inspection programs to ensure safe operation of company aircraft.

Key Responsibilities:

• Review technical documentation from manufacturers, vendors, and airworthiness authorities and issue instructions as required.
• Assess all relevant technical information and advise on temporary amendments, distributing updated content to technical publications.
• Address technical queries and requirements between the company and manufacturers, clients, and other stakeholders.
• Review flight safety and airworthiness information, issuing instructions as necessary and tracking results.
• Evaluate data change requests and provide recommendations for amendment.
• Collaborate with the airworthiness department to investigate and address safety concerns.
• Oversee the implementation of airworthiness directives, mandatory service bulletins, repairs, and company modifications, advising technical records and providing reports to maintenance management.
• Monitor reliability reports and take action to improve performance as needed.
• Support the maintenance program and reliability analyst in developing and updating maintenance programs.
• Participate in investigations and follow-up activities related to accidents or incidents affecting assigned aircraft types.
• Review design requests for modifications and provide input as required.
• This role requires occasional travel to support regional bases.

Requirements:

• Licensed engineer or AMT certification
• At least 5 years' experience working on Leonardo aircraft (AW139/AW189)
