Job Opportunity:

We are seeking a highly skilled and compassionate Occupational Therapist to provide individualized occupational therapy services to pediatric patients in their homes.

About the Role:

This is an exciting opportunity for an experienced Occupational Therapist to join our team in delivering high-quality care to pediatric patients in the Texas area.

Key Responsibilities:

  • Collaborate with our multidisciplinary team to develop and update patient care plans, addressing each child's specific occupational therapy needs.
  • Plan and provide targeted rehabilitative activities and interventions to help pediatric patients improve their functional abilities and achieve therapy goals.
  • Conduct comprehensive evaluations using standardized assessments to determine each patient's specific therapy needs.
  • Document treatment and progress accurately, maintaining up-to-date clinical records for each patient.
  • Provide guidance and training to family members and other healthcare professionals on techniques to support patient progress.
  • Oversee Occupational Therapy Assistants (COTA and OTAs) to ensure adherence to best practices and compliance with state guidelines.
  • Participate in case conferences to discuss patient progress and refine treatment strategies collaboratively.
  • Coordinate patient visits, confirming schedules with Area Support Managers to ensure organized and timely care.
  • Support discharge planning, collaborating with patients, families, and physicians to facilitate effective transitions.

Requirements:

Qualifications include:

  • A Master's degree in Occupational Therapy from an accredited program.
  • Current licensure as an Occupational Therapist Registered (OTR) and registration with the American Occupational Therapy Association (AOTA).
  • Preferred: One year of experience in pediatric or home health occupational therapy.
