Job Summary

We are seeking a highly skilled Drilling Engineer to join our team at Bw Energy. The successful candidate will be responsible for designing, planning, and executing wells in preparation for drilling operations. This will involve preparing cost estimates and budgets to support the generation of Well AFE's, as well as providing supervisory and technical support to the Rig Superintendent during drilling operations.

Key Responsibilities
  • Design and plan wells in preparation for drilling operations
  • Prepare cost estimates and budgets to support the generation of Well AFE's
  • Provide supervisory and technical support to the Rig Superintendent during drilling operations
  • Liaise and manage daily interface between wells, subsurface, and operations
  • Final well closeout and reporting at the conclusion of the well

Requirements
  • Education: Degree qualification in Engineering
  • Good written and oral command of the English Language
  • Current Well Control certification (IWCF) - Subsea/Surface Supervisor is considered an advantage
  • Minimum of 10 years of relevant Drilling engineering experience, ideally with an Operator
  • Experience with deepwater and shallow water horizontal wells in Brazil is considered an advantage
  • Familiarity with well intervention and abandonment is desirable
