About the Role

This is an exciting opportunity for a Senior Software Engineer to join our fast-paced and entrepreneurial team. You'll be working closely with cross-functional teams to deliver a seamless user experience that meets the highest standards of usability and design excellence.

  • Design, develop, and deliver new features as part of an agile team
  • Develop services in one or more programming languages (Go, Kotlin, Java) and deploy using containerization (Docker), orchestration (Kubernetes), and automation tools
  • Mentor junior developers and lead scrum teams by setting positive examples
  • Owning cloud services end-to-end, implementing distributed systems using AWS services and best practices such as zero-downtime production deployments, canaries, frequent deployments, and feature-flag-driven development
  • Execute with an enterprise cloud mindset to deliver on security, compliance, and infrastructure initiatives with engineering program management
Requirements

To succeed in this role, you'll need:

  • Bachelor's degree or equivalent in a technology-related field (e.g., Computer Science, Engineering)
  • Excellent professional software development experience
  • Able to write clean and scalable code using modern programming languages (Go, Java, Kotlin, NodeJS)
  • Able to build and maintain effective relationships with technical product managers, architects, and technical leads
  • DevOps mentality with an understanding of Continuous Delivery and Observability
  • Experience with Docker, Helm, Kubernetes, and a broad array of AWS primitives (EC2, AMIs, EKS, Dynamo)
  • Familiarity with common compliance frameworks that impact software development (FedRAMP, PCI, SOC1, SOC2)
  • Hands-on experience with cloud-native solutions
  • Experience in travel technologies a plus
