Job Title: Logistics Supervisor

Alstom is seeking a highly skilled Logistics Supervisor to join our team. As a key member of our logistics team, you will be responsible for implementing and managing standard packaging solutions, monitoring budget follow-up, and applying solutions to protect parts during all logistic operations.

Main Responsibilities:
  • Develop and implement standard packaging solutions to optimize logistics operations.
  • Manage and monitor budget follow-up to ensure cost-effectiveness.
  • Apply solutions to protect parts during all logistic operations, including transport, unloading, storage, and line feeding.
  • Contribute to the identification of potential improvements in the whole value chain and capture added value.
  • Reduce work labor time in the warehouse and production.
  • Improve ergonomics at workstations and reduce waste packaging.
  • Manage project supply chain specifications and negotiate with suppliers.
  • Design internal logistic processes and ensure correct parameters in the Enterprise Resource Planning (ERP) system.
Operational Activities:
  • Design packaging solutions, including defining flow, calculating batch size, optimizing packaging costs, and calculating ROI.
  • Manage packaging at all levels, from business award to maintenance, including purchase order and budget monitoring.
  • Define warehouse layouts, internal and external flows, and storage policy.
  • Participate in ABC classification and contribute to C-Class activity according to standard rules.
  • Participate in Procurement Gates Review and negotiate terms of Project Supply Chain Specification.
  • Reduce logistic costs and make business cases for packaging and transport optimization.
  • Optimize line feeding, including designing standard kitting trolleys and warehouse and production line footprints.
  • Work closely with industrialization, material planning, warehouse, sourcing, and manufacturing teams.
  • Apply Environment, Health, and Safety requirements for logistics, including packaging solutions, warehouse process optimization, and waste reduction and management.
Management:
  • Manage logistics engineers and technicians, providing a long-term vision, setting yearly objectives, and supporting and coaching team members.
  • Manage logistics engineers' and technicians' activities to workload, warning the Regional Logistics Engineering if workload is temporarily too high.
  • Ensure site logistics engineers and technicians follow ALSTOM logistic processes.
Mandatory Requirements:
  • Graduated from Engineering, Business Administration, or equivalent.
  • English (written and spoken).
Desirable Requirements:
  • Specialized in Supply Chain.
Experience:
  • Experience in an industrial environment.
  • At least 5 years of experience in similar positions in Supply Chain.
