About the Role

Big Moxi Games LLC is seeking a talented Game Designer to join our team and contribute to the development of our upcoming game, Wardens Rising. As a Game Designer, you will be responsible for crafting engaging gameplay experiences that meet the needs of our target audience.

Key Responsibilities

  • Design and develop game features, mechanics, and systems that align with the game's vision and creative direction.
  • Collaborate with cross-functional teams, including art, audio, and programming, to ensure a cohesive and high-quality gameplay experience.
  • Balance game systems and features to ensure they meet the needs of the gameplay and creative direction.
  • Create and maintain up-to-date documentation to ensure all teams are aligned and informed.
  • Leverage data to inform design decisions and report findings to the creative direction.

Requirements

  • Extensive knowledge of game design principles and player experiences across multiple generations.
  • Proven ability to excel in agile environments with dynamic and evolving requirements.
  • Advanced mastery of player psychology and game feel, grounded in both theoretical knowledge and practical application.
  • Strong critical and analytical thinking skills, with a sharp eye for detail and ability to iterate based on feedback.
  • Excellent organization, communication, presentation, and documentation skills, with experience using various tools to support decision-making.
  • High level in English, with advanced proficiency in both written and verbal communication.

Nice to Have

  • Experience with Unreal Engine 5.
  • Experience with shipping games or thorough understanding of the entire game launch process.
  • Extensive knowledge of a wide range of games.
