Chief Software Security Architect

The Engineering Manager role plays a pivotal part in ensuring the security of our platform. As a member of our security team, you will lead the charge to set security standards for open source software across the platform.
Key Responsibilities:- Lead and develop a diverse team of engineers, from graduate to senior level
- Coach, mentor, and provide career development feedback to team members
- Identify and measure key performance indicators for team health
- Implement disciplined engineering processes to drive quality and efficiency
- Represent your team and product to stakeholders, partners, and customers through effective communication
- Develop and promote great engineering and organisational practices throughout the organisation
- Plan and manage progress on agreed goals and projects to ensure successful outcomes
- Support products and customers to meet strict security requirements such as FIPS, CIS, STIG, FedRAMP, and CRA
- Collaborate with industry partners to address specific cryptography modules (FIPS 140) and system hardening efforts
- A strong academic record from both high school and university
- Undergraduate degree in Computer Science or STEM field, or a compelling alternative narrative
- Drive and a proven track record of exceeding expectations
- Excellent verbal and written communication skills in English
- A passion for developing and growing people, with a proven track record of success
- Organised and able to deliver timely, high-quality results
- Professional manner interacting with colleagues, partners, and community
- Prior experience working on FIPS/Common Criteria certified products and in-depth knowledge of related standards
- Prior experience working directly with DISA-STIG or CIS benchmarks, including audit and remediation tooling
- Knowledgeable and passionate about software and application security
- Solid experience working in agile development environments
- A demonstrated drive for continual learning and professional growth
- Builds trust, relationships, and confidence with colleagues and stakeholders
- Result-oriented, with a personal drive to meet commitments and deliver results
- Ability to travel occasionally for company events
