Senior Instructional Designer Opportunity

We are seeking a seasoned Senior Instructional Designer to lead the design, development, and delivery of innovative e-learning solutions in Brazil. This role combines hands-on instructional design with leadership and project management responsibilities, guiding a team of designers, developers, and external partners while ensuring high-quality learning experiences.

This is a newly formed role as part of our expansion in Brazil. The successful candidate will bring an entrepreneurial mindset, helping to shape the function and drive local growth, while collaborating closely with our established global teams.

Main Responsibilities:
  • Analyse learning needs to scope and design engaging e-learning solutions
  • Develop learning objectives, storyboards and assessments for both e-learning and blended learning products aligned with adult learning principles and industry standards
  • Apply instructional design models and learning methodologies to create engaging e-learning experiences aligning with company standards, style guides, processes, procedures and templates
Team Leadership:
  • Lead, mentor, and coach a team of instructional designers and e-learning developers
  • Assign and oversee tasks, providing guidance and constructive feedback to ensure quality and consistency of products
  • Foster a collaborative, innovative, and high-performance team culture
  • Conduct performance reviews and support team members' professional development
Project Management:
  • Manage multiple e-learning projects end-to-end, ensuring delivery on scope, quality, timeline, and alignment with stakeholder expectations
  • Develop and maintain project plans, schedules, and resource allocation
  • Work closely with existing Digital Content Team and L&D Managers in the development of learning products
  • Serve as the main point of contact for stakeholders, SMEs, and clients, ensuring clear communication and alignment of expectations
  • Monitor project risks, dependencies, and quality assurance processes
  • Drive continuous improvement in instructional design processes and project management practices
We Are Looking For:

To succeed in this role, you will likely bring:

  • 7+ years of experience in instructional design/e-learning development, including 3–4 years in team leadership or project management
  • Proven success managing cross-functional teams and complex e-learning projects
  • Exceptional communication, stakeholder management, and organisational skills
  • Fluency in both Brazilian Portuguese and English, with the ability to adapt learning and communication styles to ensure training is relevant and accessible to both local and international audiences
