About the Role
  • We are seeking an experienced Data Storage Specialist to join our team.

In this role, you will be responsible for designing and deploying large-scale storage solutions, ensuring high availability, performance, and scalability. Your expertise in software-defined storage (SDS) and modern storage technologies will enable you to architect and manage complex storage environments.

You will work closely with our team to provide expert-level Linux administration skills, configuring and troubleshooting storage-related network services. Additionally, you will create comprehensive documentation for storage architecture, configurations, and standard operating procedures.

Key Responsibilities
  • Storage Solution Design: Develop and implement petabyte-scale storage solutions using Ceph, ensuring high availability and performance.
  • Infrastructure Management: Oversee the full lifecycle of storage hardware and software, including performance tuning, capacity planning, and life cycle management.
  • Cloud Integration: Manage and optimize storage resources within Apache CloudStack environment, ensuring seamless integration with virtualization layers.
  • Performance Optimization: Monitor and troubleshoot complex storage performance issues, focusing on latency-sensitive applications.
  • Automation & Efficiency: Develop automation scripts for storage provisioning, monitoring, and routine maintenance tasks.
  • Documentation & Best Practices: Create comprehensive documentation for storage architecture, configurations, and standard operating procedures.
Requirements
  • Ceph Experience: Proven experience designing, deploying, and managing large-scale Ceph clusters, deep understanding of Ceph architecture.
  • Virtualization: Strong experience with virtualization platforms, preferably KVM.
  • CLOUDSTACK: Demonstrable experience managing storage within an Apache CloudStack ecosystem.
  • Linux Administration: Expert-level Linux administration skills (Red Hat, CentOS, or similar distributions).
  • Network Fundamentals: Solid understanding of networking concepts (TCP/IP, VLANs, bonding) and storage networking protocols.
  • RAID Knowledge: In-depth knowledge of various RAID levels and their practical application for performance and redundancy.
