Job Title: Controller - Finance

Fugro is seeking a highly skilled and experienced Controller to lead our finance team in business partnering, business recovery, compliance, finance operations, and strategy initiatives.

Job Summary

The successful candidate will play a pivotal role in overseeing various aspects of financial management, including business partnering, business recovery, compliance, finance operations, and strategic planning.

Key Responsibilities
  • Partner with business leaders to develop and implement financial strategies that support the company's overall objectives and drive sustainable growth.
  • Lead business recovery efforts by developing and implementing strategies to mitigate financial risks, optimize resource allocation, and ensure business continuity in times of crisis or uncertainty.
  • Oversee compliance with financial regulations and reporting requirements, ensuring accuracy and integrity in financial transactions and reporting.
  • Manage finance operations, including accounts payable, accounts receivable, payroll, and financial systems, to ensure efficiency, accuracy, and compliance with internal controls.
  • Drive the development and implementation of strategic initiatives, including market analysis, competitive intelligence, and scenario planning, to support decision-making and drive long-term value creation.
  • Provide leadership and guidance to the finance team, fostering a culture of collaboration, accountability, and continuous improvement.
  • Prepare and analyze financial reports, budgets, forecasts, and variance analysis, providing insights and recommendations to senior management.
  • Stay informed about industry trends, market dynamics, and regulatory changes to anticipate potential impacts on the business and proactively recommend strategic adjustments.
Requirements
  • Bachelor's degree in Finance, Accounting, or related field; MBA or CPA preferred.
  • 10+ years of progressive experience in finance and accounting roles, with a focus on business partnering, business recovery, compliance, finance operations, and strategy.
  • Strong understanding of financial principles, regulatory requirements, and internal controls.
  • Proven track record of driving business results through strategic planning, financial analysis, and cross-functional collaboration.
  • Excellent leadership, communication, and interpersonal skills, with the ability to influence and build relationships at all levels of the organization.
  • Ability to thrive in a fast-paced and dynamic environment, with a proactive and results-oriented mindset.
  • Experience in the services sector preferred.
  • Experience with IFS ERP desirable.
  • Advanced English.
