Aml Compliance Investigator Role

At Airbnb, we're committed to creating a world where anyone can belong anywhere. As an Aml Compliance Investigator, you'll play a crucial role in helping us achieve this goal.

You will be responsible for managing high volumes of alerts and cases generated by multiple queues to ensure compliance with AML, Economic Sanctions Enforcement, and other programs. This involves reviewing and investigating escalated alerts or cases, providing supporting documentation and narratives to determine if activities are unusual or out of character.

Additional responsibilities include compiling case notes and documentation to support review, recommended determinations, and escalations. You will also assist in the assessment of potential risks, patterns, and trends based on case reviews and investigations.

Key Responsibilities:
  • Manage high volumes of alerts and cases generated by multiple queues to ensure compliance.
  • Review and investigate escalated alerts or cases.
  • Compile case notes and documentation to support review and escalation.
  • Assist in the assessment of potential risks, patterns, and trends.
Requirements:
  • Bachelor's Degree or Technical Equivalent.
  • Portuguese and English proficiency.
  • 3-5 years experience in compliance operations.
  • Fundamental knowledge of counter terrorist financing, anti-money laundering, and anti-fraud typologies.
