Transaction Monitoring Officer

At PayRetailers, our Compliance team in Brazil is growing and we are looking for a Transaction Monitoring Officer to help us provide analysis and take decisions with the Alerts triggered in our TM System.

Job Description
  • Attend Alerts triggered from our Transaction Monitoring System and provide timely resolutions to minimize financial risks.
  • Proactively suggest system improvements to prevent fraudulent transactions and optimize existing fraud management processes by leveraging expertise in data analysis and risk assessment.
  • Conduct thorough analyses of fraud patterns and develop new fraud detection rules to stay ahead of emerging threats.
  • Provide expert support and advice to other internal departments on fraud related matters, ensuring seamless collaboration and communication.
  • Investigate merchant complaints regarding suspected fraudulent transactions, working closely with cross-functional teams to resolve issues efficiently.
Required Skills & Qualifications
  • +5 years of experience in a fintech or financial institution in Transaction Monitoring Team (preferably in a Payments Fintech or Authorized Payment Institution)
  • Strong knowledge of Money Laundering Prevention and terrorist financing, Due Diligence, KYC, KYB, UBO, PEP & Sanctioned Screening & FATF Recommendations.
  • ACAMS or ICA Certification are highly valued
  • Ability to analyze complex information, think critically through difficult problems, and make informed decisions based on available data.
  • Ability to multi-task, prioritize, and follow-through on numerous transaction alerts simultaneously in a dynamic environment.
  • Strong organizational, interpersonal, and problem resolution skills.
  • Team player with ability to work independently with minimal supervision.
  • Advanced level of MS-Excel and desirable expertise level of Power BI, SQL Sentences.
  • Fluent in Spanish & English (at least professional business language). Spanish is a plus
