Job Title: Software Development Engineer

About the Role:

We are seeking a skilled Software Development Engineer to join our team. In this role, you will be responsible for designing, developing, and maintaining scalable cloud services and features for our product line.

Your primary focus will be on building high-performance services that handle billions of requests each day from our devices, mobile apps, and internal tools.

Key Responsibilities:
  • Built Services: Design and develop services that handle billions of requests each day from eero devices, mobile apps, and internal tools.
  • Collaboration: Work with peers across engineering, product, and design to shape our product vision and build exciting end-user features.
  • Enhancement: Enhance and optimize existing services to improve reliability, scalability, and flexibility.
  • Mentorship: Provide mentorship to other cloud engineers and help change development processes to increase developer productivity and project predictability.
Requirements:
  • Professional Experience: 3+ years of non-internship professional software development experience.
  • Design/Architecture: 2+ years of non-internship design or architecture (design patterns, reliability and scaling) of new and existing systems experience.
  • Programming Language: Experience programming with at least one software programming language.
Preferred Qualifications:
  • Full Software Development Life Cycle: 3+ years of full software development life cycle, including coding standards, code reviews, source control management, build processes, testing, and operations experience.
  • Education: Bachelor's degree in computer science or equivalent.
