Job Summary
We are seeking a highly skilled Senior Data Engineer to join our Data Engineering team. As a Senior Data Engineer, you will be responsible for designing, building, and maintaining high-performance data pipelines and processes to support our analytics and data science teams.
Key Responsibilities
- Design and implement scalable data pipelines using Big Data technologies such as Spark, Hive, and MapReduce
- Develop and maintain high-quality, maintainable code in Python and other programming languages
- Collaborate with cross-functional teams to understand business requirements and develop solutions that meet their needs
- Conduct proof-of-concepts and benchmarks to determine the best tools and technologies for a given problem
- Contribute to the development of the strategic vision for the data engineering team and the company
Requirements
- Strong knowledge of Big Data technologies, solutions, and concepts
- Proficiency in Python and other programming languages
- Experience with data lifecycle management, including lineage, governance, privacy, retention, and anonymization
- Excellent communication and collaboration skills
- Experience with cloud resources such as AWS and GCP
- Experience with data workflows, columnar storage solutions, and data lakehouse concepts
- Experience with infrastructure areas such as containers, orchestration, CI/CD strategies, and observability
