Cubbo is on a mission to become the #1 e-commerce fulfillment business in Latin America. We are a technology-based startup, which started operations in early 2021, currently we operate in two countries: México and Brazil. We're building the largest urban warehouse fulfillment network throughout LatAm, which allows us to be the only solution in the region to be able to do same-day fulfillment. Cubbo's software is fully integrated with e-commerce platforms, including Shopify, V-TEX, Mercado Libre and many more.


The Head of Cross-Border E-commerce will be a key member of our executive team, leading the expansion of our cross-border initiatives and driving growth across new markets. Reporting directly to the CEO, you’ll collaborate closely with other senior leaders to develop and execute a clear strategy for cross-border e-commerce that aligns with the company’s long-term goals. You should be comfortable building and scaling a team from the ground up, establishing a foundational framework that can be adapted and optimized as the department grows.


We expect you to take ownership of the cross-border operations, bringing an entrepreneurial mindset to navigate challenges without always relying on established processes or clear-cut instructions. You’ll bring clarity to complex operational decisions, ensure seamless execution across different regions, and foster a culture of collaboration and accountability. Your focus on transparency and commitment to continuous improvement will drive you to identify and address areas for growth, both in the team and in yourself. This is a role for someone passionate about scaling new markets and creating impact across borders.


Responsibilities:

  • Develop and implement the cross-border e-commerce strategy to drive rapid expansion and support the company’s long-term goals.
  • Oversee all aspects of cross-border planning, including market analysis, entry strategies, and optimization of international operations.
  • Manage logistics and supply chain operations to ensure efficient and cost-effective movement of goods across borders.
  • Lead cross-functional teams in maintaining compliance with international trade regulations, import/export requirements, and customs laws.
  • Provide strategic insights and data-driven recommendations to the CEO and executive team to guide cross-border decision-making.
  • Co-manage with the CEO relationships with key partners, including customs brokers, international logistics providers, and technology vendors.
  • Ensure timely and accurate reporting on cross-border performance, including key operational metrics and revenue generation.
  • Develop and monitor key performance metrics and KPIs to track the growth and profitability of cross-border operations.
  • Co-lead market expansion initiatives with the CEO, including identifying and preparing for new market entry opportunities.
  • Implement and manage scalable systems and processes to support the company’s cross-border growth.


Qualifications:

  • Proven experience in cross-border e-commerce or in a senior role related to international expansion, preferably in a high-growth startup.
  • Strong understanding of global logistics, supply chain management, and market entry strategies.
  • Experience with international partnerships and managing relationships with logistics and compliance stakeholders.
  • In-depth knowledge of international trade regulations, customs requirements, and risk management practices.
  • Experience with planning, budgeting, and financial oversight in cross-border operations.
  • Strong analytical and problem-solving skills, with a data-driven approach to decision-making.
  • Excellent leadership and communication skills, with the ability to collaborate across departments and geographies.
  • Familiarity with logistics and e-commerce software; experience in ERP or supply chain system implementation is a plus.
  • Degree in international business, supply chain management, or a related field; MBA preferred.
  • Ability to thrive in a fast-paced, dynamic environment with a proactive and adaptable approach.
