Job Description:


Our client, a global leader in the automotive industry, is seeking a highly skilled Compliance Officer to join their team in the São Paulo area.


The ideal candidate will be responsible for overseeing the company's compliance programs, requiring a deep understanding of legal frameworks and corporate governance, ensuring the organisation adheres to both local and international laws and industry standards.



Key Responsibilities:


  • Develop, implement, and maintain compliance policies, particularly focusing on anti-bribery and corruption.
  • Ensure adherence to local and international regulatory requirements, particularly those affecting the automotive industry.
  • Conduct risk assessments and monitor compliance activities to identify potential legal and regulatory risks.
  • Lead internal investigations related to compliance violations and ensure timely and appropriate remediation actions.
  • Provide training and guidance to employees on compliance issues, legal obligations, and regulatory requirements.
  • Stay updated on the latest legal developments in compliance and automotive regulations, ensuring the company is proactive in maintaining compliance.
  • Collaborate with internal departments, including legal, finance, and HR, to ensure a unified approach to compliance.
  • Report regularly to senior management on the status of the compliance program, providing updates on any risks or breaches.



Requirements:


  • Bachelor’s degree in Law or related field; a legal background is essential.
  • At least 5 years of experience in legal compliance, with a focus on anti-bribery, corruption, and regulatory compliance.
  • Prior experience in the automotive industry is highly desirable.
  • Strong understanding of both Brazilian and international regulatory frameworks.
  • Demonstrated ability to handle complex compliance issues and investigations.
  • Fluency in English and Portuguese (both written and spoken).
  • Strong analytical skills, with a keen attention to detail and a problem-solving mindset.
  • Excellent communication and interpersonal skills, capable of influencing and guiding staff across all levels of the organization.
