Minimum qualifications:

- Bachelor's degree in Journalism, Public Relations, Communications, related areas, or equivalent practical experience.
- 7 years of experience in communications, PR, media, or technology.
- Experience in external communications, building relationships with media, training and supporting spokespeoples, and writing, editing, and posting various communications content.
- Ability to speak and write in Portuguese and English.
Preferred qualifications:

- Experience in project management, leading cross-functional work and crisis management.
- Experience managing events and experiences in a hybrid context (online-offline).
- Experience assessing sentiment towards a brand and products across multiple channels.
- Ability to focus, prioritize, and maintain good judgment in a fast-paced environment, with the ability to adapt quickly and escalate.
- Solid writing and editorial skills.
**About the job**:
As a member of the Global Communications and Public Affairs team, you will work cross-functionally to help connect with journalists and other thought leaders to devise specific communications materials and campaigns, engage in meetings with commentators and other opinion-formers, and develop print and web-based material supporting these campaigns.
We're looking for great communicators who can understand complex issues and articulate them in person and via well written, simple blog posts, FAQs, video scripts, and more.
As a Product Communications Manager for YouTube, you'll influence and develop communication strategies in Brazil for our consumer and creator products and apps (like YouTube Music).
You will also help to manage our YouTube policy communications across Brazil, developing and executing communication plans that take on important topics like privacy, safety, freedom of expression, and other topics.
You will create connections with journalists and media outlets to drive awareness of both the challenges and opportunities we have in Brazil.

**Responsibilities**:

- Develop and maintain close, productive relationships with key journalists and influencers.
- Work with in-country teams to drive positive press coverage and overall awareness of YouTube's consumer and creator products across Brazil.
- Craft and implement strategic communications plans and contribute to the design of events and experiences aimed at promoting our products and initiatives to users, advertisers creators, and the YouTube community in general.
- Design a communications roadmap across numerous formats and moments that help to assimilate and deliver the strategy, boost team engagement, and promote Google-wide advocacy.
- Produce editorial content for regular communications and one-off engagements for audiences including internal teams, external key opinion-formers, consumers, businesses, journalists, and communities.
