Right now, we are looking for **2D Artist**to join our Gaming Studio at Globant

As a 2D Artist you will be a key member of the team, creating engaging and memorable characters, creatures and weapons and help come up with visual solutions for game concepts and world building. You love playing games as much as making games and appreciate how to deliver a look and feel that will excite and engage players.

**You will get the chance to**:

- Create concepts art both for internal and marketing needs.
- Generate inspirational pieces for the pre-production of levels, characters and props as well as communication pieces to help our team of artists in their day to day work.
- Maintain consistent style under the direction of the Art Director and carry out revisions as required.
- Set and share best practices, production pipelines and workflows within the group.
- Share knowledge and motivate artists within the team.
- Be a reference for the art team in relation to various artistic elements and find solutions to complex issues that arise.
- Actively participate in the implementation of more efficient work methods.
- Plan, estimate and prioritize time frames for the completion of tasks and track progress using the designated tracking tools.
- Communicate and collaborate with key stakeholders to confirm task direction and ensure consistency of work within the team.
- Produce environment concept art and in-game mock-ups, focusing particularly on lighting and post effects.
- Ensure a successful sign off process for own and others work by conducting reviews, critiquing work and providing suitable feedback.
- Help, train and guide other Concept Artists.

**What will help you succeed**:

- A portfolio with a breakdown of your best and most fitting work (attach work samples or send us a link to your personal website or online portfolio)
- Excellent drawing and conceptualization skills with an ability to adapt to established styles.
- Understanding of traditional artistic skills, composition, rendering, anatomy, color theory, perspective, lighting, environment, architectural, character, and graphic design.
- Fast and organized doing research and reference gathering.
- Strong knowledge of form, composition, use of detail and visual storytelling.
- Be an expert in Photoshop.
- Efficiently communicate and support messages and decisions from management.
- Strong understanding of architecture construction and environmental design.
- Good knowledge of the video game industry and awareness of typical video game development processes.
- Must be comfortable with learning new tools, including some of the game tools.
- Good written and verbal communication in English
