**Responsibilities**:

- Recruiting, coaching, mentoring, providing feedback, and continuously improving the team to ensure the right mix of skills and knowledge.
- Directly managing the individuals within the team, being accountable for their performance, job satisfaction, and career development planning.
- Facilitating and driving the teams timely and high-quality delivery to production, taking ownership of ensuring that the team meets commitments and expectations.
- Cultivating a culture of ownership, collaboration, and a shared passion for delivering quality products.
- Work closely with engineers to architect and develop the best technical design and approach.
- Contribute to the architecture and design of new and current systems.
- Collaborate with other teams and departments to gather and/or share information relating to team activities.

**Requirements**:

- Bachelors degree in computer science, Software Engineering or equivalent
- An individual with a background in Backend Engineering who possesses leadership qualities.
- Able to work onsite, hybrid or remote (if remote, contract-based in Europe, +/- 2 CET timezone)
- A solid understanding of Scrum and Agile methodologies and be able to guide and mentor the team in these areas.
- Capable of efficiently balancing their daily workload between leadership responsibilities, development tasks, and Scrum rituals.
- Excellent time management and prioritisation skills driven, proactive & enthusiastic with excellent written and verbal communication skills in English.
