This position reports to the Regional Supply Chain Supervisor, LA. The Supply Network Planner is responsible for the development of the Master Production Schedule (MPS) over an established rolling horizon period and agreed-upon frequency. With a scope of 0-24 months, the SP is responsible for converting unconstrained, forecasted product Demand into feasible, capacity constrained short term and long term Supply Plans for the manufacturing sites. SP role entails a focus on the optimization of both supply and inventory, to manage/balance inventory by product line. The SP role has ultimate accountability for inventory for assigned product lines; working with regional partners to ensure alignment of local stocking strategies and balanced inventory replenishment throughout the DC network. The SNP is a key participant and contributor to the Sales & Operations Planning Process (S&OP).
**Responsibilities**
- Develop an executable MRP, which balances customer service, material availability, plant capacities and targeted inventory levels
- Develop inventory and safety stock targets to balance supply and demand with service targets
- Proactively identify short term supply and demand gaps and propose solutions; proactively create and deliver appropriate communications to key internal stakeholders and trade partners
- Develop and action allocation strategies with input from key stakeholders during supply shortages
- Work closely with the Demand Planning to understand world-wide product demand
- Monitor and report key service metrics that support shared objectives between supply chain and manufacturing
- Work closely with regional distribution centers to establish regional inventory stocking levels that meet service targets, and align with global targets
- As product line SME, work with manufacturing to maintain and optimize planning parameters
- Monitor slow moving and excess inventory, and support customer returns process
- Support system integrations, new product introductions, product line transfers or product discontinuation projects, as required
- Develop analyses and reports related to inventory level projections, recovery plans, capacity requirements, performance metrics, etc. as required
- Utilize ERP and reporting systems to create inventory alert management tools to identify and address gaps for resolution
**Qualifications**
**Knowledge and Skills**
- Strong knowledge of Supply Chain concepts and processes (supply, demand, capacity and distribution planning and inventory management)
- Strong analytical skills with demonstrated problem solving
- Ability to effectively work cross functionally, to use influencing skills, build consensus and drive decision making
- Excellent oral and written communication skills, including presentation skills
- Detail-oriented individual with a strong ability to multi-task
- Ability to set and communicate priorities and work in a dynamic business environment
- Conflict resolution skills
Education and Experience
- Minimum of 2-4 years of manufacturing and/or Supply Chain planning experience required
- BA/BS is required, preferably in Engineering, Statistics, Business Administration, Operations Management, or similar discipline
- Advanced English, verbal and in writing
- Must have advanced excel skills
- APICS certification (CPIM/CSCP or equivalent) is a plus
