**What you would do as our R&D Manager**
You would leverage your expertise in leading a R&D Team of Mechanical engineers to lead the development of innovative docking equipment for the Docking Product Unit for Business Segment Industrial (BSI) at Assa Abloy Entrance Systems. You would work closely with our innovation, design, production, and installation teams to ensure our products consistently meet the highest standards of quality and performance.

You would also:

- Manage Product care and Tech product management activities for the Engineering department as owner of the for Docking R&D Team.
- Manage and initiate development projects along with close collaboration with the production.
- Provide technical leadership and guidance to the R&D team ensuring the projects are delivered on time, budget meeting quality standards and identify opportunities for innovation, improvement driving the development on new technologies.
- Conduct feasibility studies and cost analyses for proposed designs, perform testing and validation of prototypes and final products and identify and implement improvements to existing products and processes.
- Ensure compliance with industry standards and safety regulations and collaborate with suppliers and vendors to source materials and components for product prototypes and production.

**The skills and experience you need**
We are looking for someone who:

- Has a master’s degree in mechanical engineering or a related field, along with proven experience in mechanical design and engineering.
- Has experience of 5+ years in R&D management, preferably in the industrial sector and proven experience in leading cross-functional teams and managing projects.
- Is proficient in CAD software, such as AutoCAD or SolidWorks is essential.
- Has strong analytical and problem-solving abilities, as well as the ability to manage multiple projects and meet deadlines and has excellent communication skills.
- Is fluent in Romanian and English.
