**Tableau & Power BI CLOUD Administrator**

**General Position Summary**:
The Systems Administrator is responsible for automating and monitoring server job processes, integration support with data sources, and ensuring backups and restoration of Tableau repositories. Manage the environment that supports Tableau Server; perform maintenance, upgrades, patches, and requests for new virtual machines to expand the environment. Experience with, and knowledge of, dashboard development is also an essential component of success in this role. Additionally, this role will include management and administration of Power BI Cloud environment in collaboration with oversite team.

**Specific Job Skills and Experience**:

- This position requires excellent communication and interpersonal skills, and the ability to interact and collaborate with other IT teams
- 8+ years of experience in data warehousing practices including an understanding of building relational data models
- 5+ years of hands-on experience as a Tableau Administrator performing Installation, upgrading, monitoring, debugging, tuning and capacity planning. Tableau Certification is a plus.
- Practical knowledge in Tableau Server best practices: including administration, security, & clustering and the ability to communicate the pro & cons of each based on strategic implementation goals
- Capable of doing Tableau Server Management (i.e., Clustering, Load Balancing, User Management, etc.)
- Exposure to and strong working knowledge of distributed systems involving internet protocols
- Sound understanding of client-service models and customer orientation in service delivery
- Ability to derive technical specifications from business requirements and express complex technical concepts in terms that are understandable to multi-disciplinary teams, in verbal as well as in written form
- Experienced Technical troubleshooter who can quickly get to the root cause of issues and provide input towards permanent solutions
- Experience in taking back ups and restoration of Tableau repository
- Knowledgeable on Tableau Metadata tables and Postgre SQL and Tableau Licensing
- Aptitude to understand and adapt to newer technologies
- Implement deployment pipeline and process for usage by multiple departments and cross functional team between development and production environment in Power BI.
- English Advanced/Fluent

- Information Technology Bachelor’s Degree required; Master’s Degree preferred

Roles & Responsibilities:
**Essential Functions/Responsibilities**:

- Under broad direction and supervision, develops, maintains, and enhances Tableau server and Power BI Cloud and its accompanying infrastructure.
- Serves as the primary technical point of contact on Tableau server engagements of moderate to high complexity including service tickets requiring expert analysis.
- Involved with the investigation and resolution of complex data, system, and software issues in the production environment.
- Under broad direction, designs and implements strategic partner onboarding.
- Participates in capacity planning to ensure Tableau servers are adequately sized and configured to meet current and projected demand.
- Work with line of business (LOB) personnel, external vendors, and internal Data Services team to develop system specifications in compliance with corporate standards for architecture adherence and performance guidelines.
