Johnson & Johnson is recruiting an Procurement Manager / Business Engagement Leader (Self Care LATAM) to be based in São Paulo (3 days on-site and 2 days remotely).

The Manager, BEL, Supply Chain Procurement is the frontline of support to the Commercial teams for Self Care. This role acts as an enabler to the multiple sourcing categories and their strategies of scale & choice, prior to commercialization, and therefore influences & shapes the Categories decisions around material / ingredients, long term supplier choices and value chains, both in the short and long term. This role is responsible for the delivery of a consistent and aligned-to pipeline of projects, to then hand to the Regional Source teams that meet or exceed all GP hurdle rates and sustainable savings.

It is understood that the different businesses within the Consumer Portfolio have varying needs and requirements depending on the categorization of a “stronghold” vs. “essential”. The Manager, BEL, Supply Chain Procurement will be responsible for partnering with their key business partners both in and outside of the supply chain to assess the varying need states of the business, and therefore support either primarily in the NPD or potential LCM state.

This role will partner with internal stakeholders to identify unmet needs of our Consumer, and then find the appropriate external partners to create viable solutions that allow the industry to provide additional value to the Consumer Group, enabling market opportunities we couldn’t capitalize on alone. Engaging these parties early in the development process allows for building scale & choice into the development process, reinforcing its position within category strategy for future generations of products.

Key to accessing innovation as an enabler is the development and maintenance of strategic partnerships. Experienced external partners that have a strong understanding of strategic priorities, both operational and aspirational, drive cost-competitive development that enhances speed-to-market, exclusivity, requirement compliance, and overall value generation. The ability to develop and enhance strategic partnerships is paramount to unlocking consistently delivered innovation, which in-turn drives growth, value generation at both the top and bottom line, and ultimately, is a key lever in delivering scale & choice to the category.

This role will frequently engage, partner &/or interact with suppliers, internal technical and functional partners, project managers, and finance. This role will demonstrate and enhance deep skills in value creation through innovation, Category & Supplier Management, complexity reduction, and sourcing, while building deep expertise in product development and chemicals/packaging, direct materials and strategic procurement within the end-2-end supply chain. Based on Self-Care current strategy being closely related to J&J Pharmaceutical business, the Manager will also be responsible for Business Engagement with Janssen in LATAM, taking the responsibility to engage with Plant Managers and SC teams in the region, acting as a focal point of SC Procurement and driving business priorities to the Source Categories teams.

The Manager, BEL, Supply Chain Procurement has the following responsibilities:

- Represent the category in determined Innovation, NPD, LCM, and (Product level) portfolio transformation projects across the Skin Health and Essentials Health businesses, maintaining & enhancing partnerships with R&D, Technology, and Commercial businesses.
- Support the annual pipeline of projects to Regional Source teams, to drive improved GP and better P&L delivery.
- Support the Category Directors/Managers (Packaging + Chemicals) to assess business cases for new projects (CIP / NPD) and charter the ones with highest potential.
- Drives collaboration with Source Categories in Request for Quotation for new partners and supplier scouting exercises for unmet needs.
- Manage in partnership with Source Categories, R&D and IMO COGS assessment for NPD (upstream & chartered projects).
- Own ensuring alignment between Source Categories and R&D of new formulation choice with category strategy and building scale & choice.
