We have an exciting opportunity for a Senior Software Developer in the SAP Design Usage Intelligence team. We are a new, multi-disciplinary team that operates with a startup mindset and we build the tools that deliver usage intelligence to other SAP product teams. The role will be responsible for designing and building a scalable service that delivers key insights out of large amounts of data. The individual who fills this role will work closely with the Product Development Lead to create the technical vision and architecture, design and deliver features end-to-end with high quality, and mentor and develop other team members.

This role is excellent for someone who has a passion for early stage innovation efforts where every team member effectively participates in clarifying requirements and contributing to feature designs with their ideas.

YOUR PROFILE Role requirements:

- Design, build and deliver features end-to-end, following best practices for software design
- Setup CI/CD pipelines for efficient deployment models and operate the product in production
- Identify technical and architectural methods to support SAP Design’s vision and strategy for tracking technology
- Participate in pilot initiatives and collaborate with other teams to help identify requirements and iteratively prototype features
- Collaborate with Product Management and UX design, and proactively contribute to feature designs
- Collaborate with Product Management, data scientists to evaluate data sets and data models, as well as build and manage ETL jobs
- Mentor and coach other developers in the team

**Qualifications**:

- Bachelor’s in Computer Science or related field
- 4+ years of experience in cloud development and architecture
- Proficient in at least one modern programming language (Java, Python, etc.)
- Strong knowledge of data structures, algorithms and principles of OO design
- Foundation in database technologies (SQL, NoSQL or Graph)
- Full-stack development experience including frontend, backend and database technologies (our stack includes React, Python, Django and HANA)
- Knowledge of infrastructure and platform tools (ie. Docker, Kubernetes, Cloud Foundry, AWS)
- Positive team player who can work independently and collaboratively as needed
- Strong verbal and written communication skills in English, ability to explain complex topics in simple language to audiences with different backgrounds
- Bonus: Experience with SAP technology stack
- Bonus: Experience with graph database
