The purpose of the role is to ensure the maintenance of a highly visible and professional service that acts as a deterrent in the case of any potential noncompliance with Company security related policies, procedures and regulations.

Ensure effective and efficient on-site management of all security and safety aspects of the Site in accordance with the MSS Security Standing Instructions and site operating procedures (SOPs).

Observe & Report:

- Maintaining focus and observing the activities associated with asset protection
- Using appropriate methods of communication (e.g. radio, phone, log books) to report incidents and issues
- Ensuring that with knowledge of the client site and requirements, any out of the ordinary events are identified and actioned

Access Control:

- Ensuring only authorised persons are permitted to enter the site
- Ensuring that entrances and exits are clear and unobstructed
- Ensuring that persons entering the site are provided with the appropriate pass or ID as required
- Using computerised access control systems as required
- Maintaining security and safety for assigned area
- Operating and monitoring security control panels alarms, and related security equipment to provide area and visitor surveillance

Control of Loading Dock:

- Ensuring only authorised persons enter the site via the loading dock
- Controlling boom gates, roller doors or other as per Standard Operating Procedures
- Allocating spaces for loading and unloading and coordinate traffic efficiently
- Providing access to and directing deliveries and contractors only to areas to which they are authorised

Site Standing Orders:

- Reading, understanding and signing off on specific site requirements
- Seeking additional information and training where unsure of any requirement
- Reporting any differences between SOPs and actual daily activities

Customer Retention:

- Ensuring presentation and attitude are at a high standard
- Providing exceptional customer service at all times
- Providing information, directions and other information as required either in person or via the telephone
- Identifying and rectifying issues
- Ensuring specified service levels are maintained
- Ensuring the personal safety of staff, visitors, and property
- Maintaining working knowledge of the locations of various departments, buildings, access routes and admitting requirements

Other Duties:

- Maintaining logs and records of occurrences, completing necessary paperwork, and using computer terminal to input and retrieve data
- Any additional duties as requested by Management
