Who will you be working with?
As a member of Commercial team, you will collaborate with exceptionally talented, driven professionals committed to enhance commercial performance and process results for Wabtec. This role involved supporting the account manager in developing winning commercial and technical proposals that will be converted in sales for Wabtec in LatAm. You will also work with local and global teams as part of your daily activities, getting all the infomation you need and seeking for the process approvals.
How will you make the difference?
You will make a significant impact by delivering high-quality commercial and technical proposals and support our account managers during contract negotiations. Your daily tasks will involve interacting with a range of commercial and technical teams, including account manager, finance, engineering, supply chain, program manager and senior executives like the P&L leader, CEO, and CFO. Key responsibilities include understanding customer requests, transalting such request into a product and/or service part of Wabtec´s portfolio, developing winning proposals to customer and negotiating contracts.
What Do We Want to Know About You?
- Bachelor's Degree in Engineering, International Relations or Administration
- Desired experience within the Transportation Industry
- Extensive experience with Locomotive maintenance services agreements
- Ability to distill complex data sets into meaningful conclusions as well as drive data backed decisions
- Executive level presentation skills
- Experience managing large complex deals with multi-functional interactions
- Ability to prioritize and manage multiple individual and team responsibilities for multiple complex projects
- Top notch problem solving skills
- Excellent technical and/or commercial writing and reading comprehension skills
- Leading in a complex, matrixed environment with experience managing multiple deadlines
- Clear thinker able to simplify complex scenarios to logic strategies/positions

What Will Your Typical Day Look Like?
- Responsible for providing competitive commercial proposals and taking the lead and ownership in collaboration with the sales account managers, on negotiating terms and conditions, margins, pricing and other aspects required to close contracts for complex deals.
- Partner closely with the sales teams to understand customers’ needs and define the deal strategy in order to develop outcome-based commercial solutions to meet or exceed customer goals & objectives
- Analyze complex data sets to evaluate the viability of different projects and ensure the business is duly informed with data on all decisions.
- Own and lead the deal process in collaboration with the cross-functional team, including all aspects of contract management, commercial proposals, deal strategy reviews, Policy 5.0 implementation, risk management and mitigation, internal costing, margin analysis, market level pricing and customer negotiations in conjunction with internal functions
- Be the focal project coordinator on all deal elements resulting in commercially sound outcome based solutions and proposals
- Lead virtual and global project teams with stakeholders including sales, legal, finance, risk, product management, engineering, services and other functions to maximize customer value and meet business goals
- Present to leadership throughout the tollgate process to ensure that all commercial elements and risk factors are vetted as well as business approvals are properly secured and reflected in the scope, profitability and structure of the proposal
- Progress the opportunities from the initial customer request for quotation to contract closure
- Accountable to meet all KPI’s and operating metrics: order budgets, proposal timeline
