-Job description
The Head of Traded Risk has the main objective to maintain Traded Risk operation running on a daily basis. Main responsibilities include business support regarding Market Risk and Traded Credit Risk, ensure appropriate Risk Control and full compliance with internal and external regulation, coordinate and supervise Traded Risk projects, business initiatives and Management Self-Identified Issues. Furthermore, oversight of Treasury Risk function (Liquidity Risk, Interest Rate Risk of the Banking Book and Capital Risk) are part of role holder responsibilities.
- Support decision of the business lines (notably Front Office of Global Markets) with the measurement and management of market as well as counterparty credit risk, ensuring independence and avoiding the emergence of possible conflicts of interest.
- Actively participate in the management of assets and liabilities adding value and taking decisions with adherence to prudential exposure limits established by the Administration. Active participation in the ALCO (Assets & Liabilities Committee)
Requirements
- At least five years of relevant experience in similar roles at a senior level
- Strong leadership and management skills
- Excellent written and spoken communication skills, including presentation to Senior Management in Brazil, at the regional or global levels
- Ample and detailed knowledge of the local and international regulatory framework related to Market and Counterparty risks as well as risks associated to Capital, Interest Rate and Liquidity
- Knowledge on bank accounting rules
- Hands-on approach and energetic profile with problem-solving skills
- Project management skills, including systems implementation, management
Fluent English and Portuguese with proficient read, spoke and written abilities. Spanish is a plus.
