**Job Summary**
Reporting to the Director of Finance, the Group Financial Reporting will be responsible for the proper preparation of financial statements and quality control for all GMIN’s entities.

Working Conditions

**Key Responsibilities**
- Assist with the preparation of the periodic monthly, quarterly and annual financial statements and all financial accounting deliverables, while ensuring quality control and compliance with International Financial Reporting Standards (“IFRS”).
- Transferring monthly financial data from the trial Balances of the several Corporation’s entities for the purposes of consolidation with proper eliminations and the production of various reports and analyses.
- Assisting with the preparation and review of the monthly, quarterly accounting and general ledger reconciliations.
- Assist with the review of the financial reporting package submitted by its subsidiaries.
- Assist with the preparation of Profit & Loss and Balance Sheet analysis of GMIN’s entities and resolve discrepancies to ensure accurate and complete reporting.
- Assist with the identification and implementation of an optimal financial reporting tool.
- Assist with the preparation and review of certain manual journal entries in liaison with the month-end closing.
- Ensure the documentation, monitoring and adequacy of internal controls across the Corporation including its subsidiaries
- Ensure the risk assessment and scoping for internal controls are done yearly and the internal and external audit program is properly performed.
- Assist in maintaining financial systems and policies in accordance with company policies and reporting to internal and external stakeholders.
- Participating in the process of improving internal controls and developing various accounting policies at the site level ensuring consistence with Corporate.
- Responsible for the preparation of regulatory reports (Extractive Sector Transparency Measures Act, Survey Canada and etc.)
- Responsible for alignment between Environmental, Social, and Governance and Social with financial reporting practices such as IFRS 1 & 2
- Assist in the implementation of the Modern Slavery Act.
- Work closely with team members and departments to achieve the department’s objectives.
- Prepare ad-hoc reports and analysis as requested.

**Requirements**:
**Experience**
- Experience in financial reporting in the mining industry for a public or international company is considered an asset

Education/Certification/Designation
- Bachelor's degree in accounting or business administration (accounting or finance), combined with a minimum of 6 years' experience in a similar position.
- Obtains or in pursuit of Canadian Professional Accounting Designation

**Technical Skills/Knowledge**
- Consumable Tax Knowledge
- Ability to interpret International Financial Reporting Standards and measure financial impacts.
- Knowledge working with data analytics
- Knowledge of internal control principals
- Knowledge of SAP S4-Hana software is an asset
- Bilingual (English/French); knowledge of Portuguese is considered an asset

**Required Behavioural Skills**
- Demonstrates a particular interest in internal control.
- Excellent communication skills at all levels, demonstrated by the ability to establish excellent working relationships.

Knowledge of a language other than French is required for this position as GMIN’s sites are international, and the incumbent will be required to communicate with them on a regular basis.
