Boeing Brazil is seeking **Cabin Electronic Systems Manager **reporting to the Airplane Systems Senior Management team, working out of the **Sao Jose Dos Campos, Brazil** office.

The **Cabin Electronic Systems Manager** will lead engineering teams responsible for designing, building, testing, and certifying In Flight Entertainment Systems, Cabin Service Systems, Cameras, Sensors, Lighting Electrical & Control, Cargo/Cabin Surveillance for the, 737, 787, 777-9 and future airplanes. These critical roles will lead engineering teams developing the hardware and software for these systems, configuring the networks, integrating across numerous airplane systems.

The position includes responsibility for developing and executing project and process plans, implementing policies and procedures, setting operational goals for the team, and acquiring financial and technical resources. This role includes a significant level of mentoring, developing, and motivating direct reports.

**Position Responsibilities**:

- Manage a team of Engineers in the development, validation, verification, integration and certification including overall quality and schedule performance.
- Be responsible for overall planning, execution, and success of complex projects.
- Partner closely with suppliers to establish project plans and manage team execution.
- Maintain resource and skill forecasts to meet project and daily operating requirements.
- Manages employees performing engineering and technical tasks in the areas of the BCA Airplane Systems engineering.
- Develops and executes project and process plans, implements policies and procedures, and sets operational goals.
- Coordinates engagement with BCA engineering counterparts located at USA sites: Charleston, Puget Sound, and Long Beach.
- Acquires resources for projects and processes, including budget and staffing.
- Develops and maintains relationships and partnerships with customers, stakeholders, peers, partners, and direct reports.
- Provides oversight and approval of technical approaches, products, and processes.
- Provides oversight and approval of approaches to compliance with regulatory requirements and certification processes.
- Leads and fosters process improvements.
- Develops and maintains a culture of seeking to understand, courage to speak up, active listening and servant leadership to manage, develop, and motivate employees.

**Basic Qualifications (Required Skills/Experience)**:

- In-depth experience in management or leadership role
- Experience of Electrical engineering
- Must have existing rights to work in Brazil
- Must have a post-secondary degree in Engineering (Aeronautical/Aerospace, Mechanical, or Electrical)
- Must be registered or eligible to register with the Engineering and Agronomy Regional Council (Conselho Regional de Engenharia e Agronomia - CREA)
- Proficient in both verbal and written communications skills in the English Language

**Preferred Qualifications (Education/Experience)**:

- In-depth experience in the development, integration, and verification of electrical systems
- Experience with or a desire to learn Agile project management methods
- Experience in requirements management and system safety assessment/functional hazard assessment methodology
- Experience working within a regulated industry
- Experience with or a desire to learn and implement more Model-Based Engineering (MBE) / Model-Based Systems Engineering (MBSE) methods
