**Join us as a Collections Specialist**

As the Collections Specialist, you will be responsible for handling the collections activities of a Latin America Geo for BMC. You will be a part of global treasury team having global collection agents, you will be following a set collections process ensuring the timely and effective collection of outstanding debts from customers & partners, while maintaining positive relationships and providing excellent customer service.

**Here is how, through this exciting role, YOU will contribute to BMC's and your own success**:

- Directly handle the collection of outstanding debts from customers and partners in Latin America Geo.
- Monitor the aging of accounts, review delinquent accounts, and initiate appropriate actions to recover overdue payments. Utilize various collection methods, such as phone calls, letters, and negotiation, while adhering to legal and regulatory requirements.
- Foster positive relationships with customers, partners and BMC sales team while effectively managing collections.
- Handle escalated customer inquiries or complaints, resolve issues, and maintain a high level of customer service throughout the collections process.
- Generate reports and analyze collection data, identify process improvement opportunities for enhanced efficiency and effectiveness.

**To ensure you are set up for success, you will bring the following skillset and experience**:

- Bachelor's degree in a relevant field (e.g., business, finance, accounting) preferred with 3+ years of collections experience.
- You are fluent in speaking, reading and writing Spanish, Portuguese & English.
- You have strong knowledge of collections principles, practices, and strategies.
- You are familiar with debt collection, Latin America local invoicing processes, regulations, and compliance requirements.
- Strong analytical and problem-solving abilities to identify trends, analyze data, and make informed decisions.
- You have proven negotiation and conflict resolution skills.
- Proven organizational skills and attention to detail in order to manage multiple priorities and deadlines.
