Senior Geophysicist

**Roles and Responsibilities**:

- Processing of seismic data, including testing, quality control and production work using the appropriate technology and software.
- Define, build and submit test jobs, interpret test results, provide recommendations on parameters and recommend further testing, if required.
- Validate the accuracy and efficiency of all testing and production job sequences.
- Ensure that processed data is delivered to customers on schedule.
- Interface consistently with customers and advise them regarding processing parameters.
- Keep abreast of developments within seismic data processing and communication and data transfer techniques.
- Investigate and report on problems encountered during seismic data processing.
- Forecast resource requirements and report project status to Project Manager.

**Qualifications and Experience**:
Must have:

- Minimum 8 years of seismic processing experience including testing, quality control and production work
- Experience in pre-salt basin and/or similar geology
- Good communication in Portuguese and English
- Bsc/MSc in Geophysics or similar field with geophysical experience

Preferred Qualifications:

- Degree, Master or PhD in Geophysics or an equivalent geoscience.

Key Skills and Competencies
- Ability to demonstrate experience in seismic processing for marine and/or ocean bottom and/or land data
- Passion and enthusiasm for science, geophysics and interest in learning new skills and software

Desirable skills:

- Preferably Omega and petrel experience
- Preferably experience with OBN processing including pre-processing and velocity model building
- Good time management working (home office and presential)
- Possess strong problem solving and inter-personal skills, working closely and collaboratively with colleagues and clients
- Strong written and verbal communication skills with the ability to write clear and concise technical reports and documents

Technical:

- Experience with OBN processing including pre-processing and velocity model building
- Experience in pre-salt basin and/or similar geology
- Preferably Omega and petrel experience
- Minimum 8 years of seismic processing experience including testing, quality control and production work

Soft Skills:

- Good communication in Portuguese and English
- Ability to work with a big team and integrate well the tasks
- Good management hybrid working (home office and presential)
- Good time management
- Possess strong problem solving and inter-personal skills, working closely and collaboratively with colleagues and clients
