AGCO is currently seeking a Staff Accountant Pleno located in Jundiai, Brazil to support AGCO’s Finance organization. The Staff Accountant will primarily be responsible for the accounting of payroll and related employee benefits in accordance with US GAAP. This includes recording all payroll and employee benefit related entries throughout the month and at month end. The Staff Accountant will prepare all employee-benefit related reserve tests such as vacation, medical, and legal reserves. The Staff Accountant will also prepare all related month end reconciliations, and those assigned. The Staff Accountant will perform other tasks as assigned such as, but not limited to, headcount reporting. Additionally, the Staff Accountant will work closely with regional finance and site operations teams.
**Your Impact**
- Record all payroll and benefits
- Prepare reserve tests and provide analysis of reserve requirement fluctuations
- Prepare account reconciliations as assigned
- Prepare monthly headcount reporting and load into OneStream
- Maintain or enhance desktop procedure documentation
- Analyze and support for ad hoc requests, projects and other duties as assigned
- Identify efficiency improvements within area of responsibility
- Support both internal and external auditors during reviews and Sarbanes Oxley testing
**Your Experience and Qualifications**
- Bachelor’s Degree in Accounting or Finance
- 1-3 years of work experience in accounting and payroll experience, including internship
- Intermediate knowledge of Microsoft Excel; Ability to run Pivot Tables and VLOOKUPS in Excel nice to have
- Strong verbal and written communication skills, analytical and problem-solving skills and high-level of interpersonal and communication skills
- A high level of confidentiality is required due to access of payroll information
- Working knowledge of OneStream and SAP nice to have but not required
- The position may require overtime and/or mandatory weekend work, especially at quarter ends
