Passionate about truth, understanding, and the acquisition of knowledge.- AMARO is a data-driven tech company - where all business data from paid marketing events to post-purchase NPS surveys are fed into our data lake, with strong data engineering and analytics teams to move the data to where it needs to go, we can get you the data you need. What we need from you is somebody who helps us mix this data together with real business needs to produce models that are available to our 100s of colleagues and 1 million customers in a scalable manner. As a junior data scientist at AMARO you will be given all of the exposure and tools you need to excel in a data science career, here we go from business ideas to production models and everything in between, you will work on a range of tasks and datasets and really make a difference.- However, you are entering or growing in data science this is the ideal role for anyone who is scientifically minded, eager to learn, and collaborative at heart. Let's work together to deliver real value through science._**What you'll do**:

- Be a scientist
- Formulate real business problems into data science experiments - including hypothesizing, data exploring, feature building, the experiments, statistical evaluations, and defining monitoring frameworks
- Conduct data science experiments using MLOps best practices
- Build robust statistical and machine learning models using primary and public data
- Develop robust production code pipelines and micro-services
- Talk to a range of stakeholders to understand where and how we can deliver value

- Strong academic background in a quantitative science/mathematical field
- Experience with machine learning and/or statistical models
- Worked in teams and evidence of collaborative support (teaching, study groups, etc)
- Required: Fluent with Python, knowledge of data science common toolkits
- Bonus: Spark, AWS (Sagemaker), MLOps process, taking models to production, experience with agile methodologies
