
Patient Engagement Manager

As the Patient Engagement Manager at Biogen Brazil, you will play a critical role in establishing and nurturing strong partnerships with patient advocacy organizations, ensuring alignment with company objectives and promoting a collaborative approach to addressing patient needs. Your efforts will focus on key strategic markets within the Business Units (BUs) to help shape an external environment that supports patient advocacy groups (PAGs).
This role requires exceptional business insight, effective leadership, strategic flexibility, and outstanding advocacy and communication capabilities. Additionally, it calls for proven expertise in managing complex policy, advocacy, and access dynamics.
Key responsibilities include, but are not limited to:
- Co-lead and manage national, regional, and local engagement with patient advocacy groups (PAGs) across therapeutic areas relevant to the company's pipeline and strategic priorities.
- Identify opportunities for impactful projects and tailor solutions that enhance patient support and optimize outcomes, including the development and management of coalitions and community programs.
- Develop and execute comprehensive advocacy strategies, including defining, standardizing, and implementing best practices for engaging with patients, caregivers, and community stakeholders.
- Collaborate cross-functionally with Brand Teams to integrate patient advocacy efforts into broader strategic initiatives.
- Ensure all engagement with patient groups is conducted in a compliant, transparent manner, adhering to company policies and demonstrating a strong commitment to supporting patients and caregivers.
- Oversee the budget for patient advocacy activities, ensuring efficient allocation of resources and tracking outcomes.
**Qualifications**
- Bachelor's degree in Healthcare Administration, Nursing, public administration, International Relations, Social Science, Health Policy, Life Sciences, Business Administration, or related field.
- Master's degree preferred
- Minimum of 5 years of experience in healthcare management, Market access, Government relations or patient services.
- Proven track record in developing and implementing successful patient engagement strategies
- Strong communication and interpersonal skills, with the ability to interact effectively with patients, healthcare providers, and stakeholders at all levels
- Proficiency in project management and data analysis
- Solid understanding of healthcare industry trends, patient-centered care models, and relevant regulations
- Fluency in Portuguese and English is required;
- Willingness to travel as needed

- Hybrid Model - office 50% of the time
- Office based in Vila Olímpia /São Paulo
