Bayer´s “Strategy & Business Consulting” function is one of the global leading in-house consulting organizations, with offices in Germany, USA, China, Brazil, Switzerland and Singapore. A global team of 200 highly qualified professionals - often alumni of the most renowned management consulting firms of the world - helps the holding company Bayer AG realize sustainable value. Our function offers a broad spectrum of specialist expertise covering strategic, organizational and performance-related issues. We develop tailor made solutions and facilitate their implementation.

**MAIN PURPOSE**:
The Chief of Staff BC Latam responsibility is two-fold. First, she/he is supposed to work closely with the VP BC Latam, supporting him by personally managing key initiatives on his behalf, building trusted relationships with key stakeholders and ultimately acting as his management counsel. Second, she/he will lead BC Latam’s People Management & Operations team. This team is responsible for leading recruiting efforts, onboarding processes and people development activities, as well as invoicing clients, keeping track of performance dashboards, and supporting budget control. As Chief of Staff, she/he will be part of the BC Latam Leadership Team, work with all BC Latam teams and report directly to the VP.

**YOUR MISSION WILL BE TO**:

- **Management Support**: oversee various aspects of managing the logistics of the BC Latam VP´s daily work, including presentations and interactions with different stakeholders, making sure he always spends his time in the most effective way;
- **Management Counselling**: act as sparring partner to the VP in managerial issues regarding leadership, talent, organization and culture in the BC Latam department;
- **Leadership Meetings**: organize and attend to the monthly BC Latam Leadership Team meetings, being responsible both for defining the agenda and for making sure decisions made by the LT are properly put into execution;
- **Communication Plan**: design and implement a communication plan to raise awareness about BC Latam activities, supporting business development, talent rotations and talent attraction inside the company;
- **PM&O Team Leadership**: lead BC Latam PM&O team (2 professionals), ensuring high team engagement to deliver timely and high-quality People Management (e.g. talent attraction, onboarding, development, staffing, pulse checks) and Operations work (e.g. performance dashboards, operations delivery and continuous improvement);
- **Talent Onboarding**: lead talent onboarding processes, including equipment acquisition, welcome kits organization, organizational socialization, compliance rules and processes presentation, guaranteeing the complete support of new joiners;
- **Talent Development**: partner with VP and Directors to craft the annual individual development plan of each member of their teams. Maintain a database with the most relevant and effective trainings/development experiences for each position, supporting the team members with their development plans;
- **Project Staffing**: support the VP and the Directors with staffing decisions, liaising with the staffing manager (in Germany);
- **Project Pulse Checks**: regularly lead pulse checks with all department members focusing on improvements on project scoping and execution, as well as on team dynamics;
- **Operational Steering**: monitor quality and deadlines of BC Latam operational processes delivery (including expenses reimbursement, timesheet, invoicing and budget control of all projects);
- **Continuous Improvement**: identify and drive improvement for BC Latam processes and operations;
- **Performance Dashboards**: manage and report monthly all financial and operational KPIs of the department, controlling monthly project billing process, which also includes team utilization, GET, invoicing and budget control of all projects;
- **Alignment with Bayer Teams**: align PM&O topics (e.g. GET, invoicing, budget, trainings, staffing) with global team in Germany, USA and China and with local HR and Controlling teams in Brazil.
