Accounting Analyst

Role and Responsibilities CAE, the worldwide leader in aviation training is looking for an Accounting Analyst to bring excellence to our Team in Sao Paulo. If you are someone with a passion for high technology environment within aviation this role is for you RESPONSIBILITIES: - Compiles and analyzes financial information to prepare account entries, managing the full-cycle day-to-day processing in accounting systems - Analyzes financial information detailing assets, liabilities and equity and prepares journal entries. - Analyzes all fixed asset items being cataloged for proper accounting treatment and depreciation methodology in accounting systems. - Reconciles general ledger accounts, payroll, ad-hoc reports and monthly management reports - Follows and guides area colleagues on month-end schedule deadlines - Proactively analyzes the income statements, verifying if the variations are consistent with the movements - Performs the recording of monthly provisions for expenses. - Assists the LATAM Accounting Manager with annual regulatory audits with external auditors - Supports the LATAM Accounting Manager providing improvements in the quality of financial management information QUALIFICATIONS & EXPERIENCE: - University degree in accounting - 2-5 years of experience preferred - Professional Accounting designation preferred (CPA, CMA) - Knowledge of accounting principles & practices - Knowledge of different costing principles (contribution, gross margin, allocation method advantages/disadvantages, asset/labor utilization, variance analysis and methods) - Strong analytical, conceptual thinking, communication, and interpersonal skills - Able to thrive in an often fast paced and deadline-oriented business requiring development and refinement of processes and procedures - Advanced knowledge of Microsoft Applications required (Excel, Word, Power Point, Access) - Experience in Totvs Protheus (mandatory) and Oracle R11.
