**Position Summary**:
This position reports to Rio Plant Technical Leader and is responsible for performing Quality Control tests in samples from all operation units.
**Key Outputs**:

- Perform analytical tests in samples from all operation units, according to products specifications, analytical methods and quality procedures.
- Calibrate and maintain lab equipment, per method or manufacturers’ requirements.
- Prepare and analyse SQC charts.
- Follow all safety rules and lab best practices.
- Participate in safety meetings and committees.
- Support OIMS as System Administrator.
- Support lab administration by taking ownership of administrative processes: training, preventive maintenance plan, calibration plan, SUMF, etc.
- Continuous improvement and simplification mind-set.
- Daily interface with Supply Chain and Operations for deliveries and batch approval.
- Daily interface with other companies in CIG for shared services and facilities.
- Daily interface with other plant departments: maintenance and HSSE.
- Availability to work on the night shift.
- Any additional responsibilities as assigned.

- Technical skills in multiple analytical techniques and methods.
- Knowledge of Quality and Operations Integrity Management Systems, and Statistical Quality control requirements.
- Ability to manage multiple work items and set own priorities.
- Team work.
- Organization and discipline.
- Relationship and communication.
- Chemical Technician degree.
- Intermediate English (read and write to a good level).
- Minimum of 1-year experience in a quality control lab.
- Intermediate knowledge of Microsoft Excel and Microsoft Word.
