Operations Architect

**Missions and responsibilities of the Operations Architect**
**Pre-sales Phase**:

- Supports and advises the project management team and the Client, and consults technical experts and engineering teams if needed
- Can contribute to technical proposals in pre-sales phase (LoE, feasibility)
- Has continuous knowledge of customer architecture and ecosystems
- Is the voice of operations for the design and the operational model
**Build Phase**:

- Evaluates the technical risks at each step of the build phase and anticipates any potential impacts on the global solution, is responsible for the technical risk assessment and Management (TRAM).
- Is in charge of the correct engineering of the technical solutions deployed for one or several Clients
- Contributes to the detailed architecture (HLD & LLD) using the technical modules matching the Client’s needs
- Defines the best migration strategy based on technical and organizational constraints
- Is in charge of the final technical choices while keeping in mind internal build and run constraints
- Drives technical meetings with the Client, presents and convinces the Client of the technical choices made
**Run Phase**
- Provides technical support for major changes
- Can contribute when major incidents or crisis with design impact
- **Lifecycle technical authority**: to support operations and customer during crisis including with vendors. It also includes authority for upgrades and major releases.
**Additionnal Mission : Presales Solution Architect**
**We have in the team a presales specific mission around SDx Integrated offers.**

The Presales Solution Architect is accountable for large, complex and non-standard solutions designs and validation from a technical, operational, costs and planning standpoint:

- Participates in bid qualification and response strategy and has the responsibility to ensure the solution meets customer requirements in an optimized and cost-effective manner to both the customer and Orange Business Services.
- Participate in bid qualification and definition of the bid strategy of large, complex, multi-service, non-standard sales projects relating to all OBS Business Units solutions line
- Accountable to design, propose & validate technical solutions & architectures. Involving SDx, Network, WLAN, Lan, VoIP/collaboration, Security/SASE, Mobility/IOT technologies
- Accountable for developing the most suitable technical solution to meet customer requirements, with a reusability logic
- Accountable to define the optimized service design & operational organization to roll-out the solution and the service proposed (including planning) and to evaluate the impact & risk on implementation and support processes. & tools
- Collect & evaluate all the non-standard costs associated to the proposed service design. Also, highlight necessary service support planning’s, assumptions and associated risks.
- Is responsible to give the technical & service proposal sign-off on behalf of consultancy and CS&O/support teams.
- With support from SLA CIS, to provide commitments values and associated measurement tools and risk analysis allowing Sales channels to define SLA and the right level of penalties to commit on.
- Bring in-house knowledge of Orange Business Services Solutions to internal and external customer through presentations and expert consultancy advise.
- Lead Technical workshops with the solution partners, consultancy, SDx experts, product manager & product vendors to design the high-level integrated solution to be presented to customer at proposal phase.
- Must be recognized by solution partners as a source of technical knowledge on all OBS products & services
- Commercially aware and able to support account teams with commercial issues including reviewing internal cost inputs to business models.

Multi-domain technical skills (at least 2 domains): Connectivity, unified com, security

**Coordinator / Leader**
- Facilitates the interactions between the different technical actors in the initial phases of the project (POC, prototype, pilot phase)
- Interfaces with all forces/BU: sales, build, run (project director, technical experts, run teams, presales architects, account and business managers )
- Is part of technical governance of his/her Clients and is integrated to the project team in charge of the deployment
- Coordinates the different entities/partners during the build phase
