Fitch's Financial Institutions group is responsible for the credit ratings of issuers and debt related to (bank and Non-Bank) financial institutions. Our local portfolio comprises more than 110 entities divided in several groups as such: large private banks, federal and estate owned institutions, small and midsize banks, securities firms and others.

**Location**
The position is based in Sao Paulo - 3 week days in the office, 2 week days home office, to be defined by Fitch. Some domestic and international travel required.

**Primary responsibilities include, but are not limited to**:

- Communicate clearly, concisely and persuasively analytical opinion both orally and written

to internal and external audiences.
- Read, analyze and interpret complex documents;
- Perform analysis of key quantitative and qualitative factors, detailed financial modeling;
- Conduct in-depth onsite meetings with the senior management of the institutions covered;
- Present companies to credit rating committee; communicate with external parties, notably

issuer’s management;
- Respond effectively to sensitive inquiries ;
- Effectively interact with sophisticated investors, sell-side analysts and media (training will

be provided);
- Make effective, persuasive speeches and presentations in public forums;
- Write special reports, credit analysis and articles using original techniques or style;

**Job requirements include**:

- 5+ years relevant experience;
- Solid professional background with evidence of strong credit skills;
- Knowledge of the Brazilian banking industry;
- Good presentation skills;
- Well-developed interpersonal communication skills;
- Full command of Microsoft Word, Excel, Power Point;
- English and Portuguese fluency (Spanish is also desirable, but not mandatory).
- Strong English writing skills;
