We are looking for a skilled and empathetic customer interviewer to support our ongoing user research efforts for a CRM. This is a remote, part-time/freelance opportunity, ideal for someone passionate about people, communication, and uncovering insights that drive product improvement.
This role is a perfect fit for someone with a background in sociology, anthropology, UX research, or relevant experience in interviewing, research assistance, customer service, or call centers.
What You'll Do:
- Discuss the interview guide with the lead researcher to align on objectives and clarify any questions.
- Conduct and record interviews remotely with Spanish
- or Portuguese-speaking clients from the LATAM region.
- Guide interviews naturally while covering all essential questions.
- Transcribe interviews using specialized tools and follow a structured guide.
- Translate transcripts into English and annotate with tone, emotion, or clarifying context as needed.
- Upload transcripts (original + translated) to Google Drive.
- Implement feedback to improve interview quality and depth over time.
- Manage scheduling, rescheduling, reminders, and follow-ups with participants.
- Ensure interviews remain within the allotted 1-hour time limit.
You'll Great Fit If You Have:
Language Proficiency:
- Native Spanish speaker
- Advanced English (C1) — strong written and spoken communication
Interviewing & Communication Skills:
- Ability to naturally lead a structured conversation while adapting as needed
- Knows when to probe deeper to get fuller, more useful answers
- Quickly builds rapport and keeps participants engaged
- Excellent active listening and notetaking skills
- High attention to detail, both in live interviews and when preparing transcripts/translations
Analytical & Critical Thinking:
- Can make real-time decisions during interviews based on interview flow
- Spots inconsistencies or vague responses and knows how to clarify
- Comfortable reflecting on interviews to help improve research outcomes
Professionalism & Confidentiality:
- Handles all client data ethically and discreetly
- Remains neutral and objective, even in emotionally charged or unexpected moments
Organizational Skills:
- Manages multiple interviews and deadlines reliably
- Can coordinate scheduling changes and client communications efficiently
Tech-Savvy:
- Familiarity with scheduling tools, video call platforms, and transcription tools
- Experience with Kommo CRM or a strong willingness to learn its technical side
Conditions:
Paid per completed interview, extra if it runs long and for no-shows
Bonus Experience:
