Freelance Violin and Cello Teacher

St Paul’s School is seeking a talented and dedicated freelance Violin and Cello Teacher to deliver high-quality individual instrumental lessons to pupils across both the Junior and Senior Schools. This is an exciting opportunity to contribute to a vibrant and diverse music department, supporting pupils in their musical development and performance opportunities.
**Key Responsibilities**:
- Provide individual violin and/or cello lessons to pupils from Junior and Senior School.
- Prepare students for London College of Music (LCM) examinations.
- Support and prepare students for school concerts, recitals, and other performances.
- Arrange lesson schedules and collect payments directly from parents.
- Maintain clear and professional communication with parents and school staff.
- Follow all relevant school policies, including safeguarding and wellbeing protocols.
- Maintain accurate records of student progress and attendance.
**Desirable Skills**:
- Ability to rehearse and conduct an orchestra or small ensemble.
- Communication skills in English.
- Passion for music education and student development.
**Qualifications and Experience**:
- A degree or higher-level qualification in Music or in violin/cello performance.
- Proven experience teaching pupils of diverse age ranges in a school setting.
- Familiarity with music exam boards, particularly LCM.
- Commitment to safeguarding and promoting the welfare of children.
**Additional Information**:
- This is a freelance position; the teacher will be responsible for managing their own schedule and invoicing.
- Lessons will take place on-site at St Paul’s School.
- The teacher must comply with all school policies and procedures, including those related to child protection and wellbeing.
