THE OPPORTUNITY

We are looking for a talented Tech Lead to join our Data Platform team in Brazil

The Data Platform team is responsible for providing a scalable and reliable data infrastructure, delivering consistent and trustful data, while creating self-service data products that abstract complexity away from other teams and enabling them to focus on their development, derive the necessary analytics and make data-driven decisions.

Our infrastructure is completely in the cloud, running Kubernetes, Presto, Spark, Kafka, Airflow, Flink and more cutting edge projects. We use software engineering principles to solve large scale production challenges, while building and maintaining a machine learning platform which aims at helping everyone at Gympass to make data-informed decisions.

YOUR IMPACT

**As a Tech Lead, you’ll be able to**:
Build production systems that personalize our user’s experience on the platform;
Help drive optimization, testing, and tooling to improve quality;
Prototype new approaches and productionize solutions at scale;
Perform data analysis to establish baselines and inform product decisions;
Collaborate with a cross functional agile team spanning design, data science, product management, and engineering to build new technologies and features.

**REQUIREMENTS**:
WHO YOU ARE

You hold a Bachelor’s Degree in Computer Science or related field and/ or equivalent experience;
You have consolidated software engineering experience with a successful track record of delivering quality results;
You have strong software design and development skills (e.g. in Scala, Python, Java, or C++);
You have experience with large-scale data frameworks, such as Spark or Scalding;
You have experience with parallel and distributed computing;
You are experienced in applied machine learning and have hands-on experience implementing, or prototyping, machine learning systems at scale in Java, Scala, Python or similar languages;
You care about agile software processes, data-driven development, reliability, and disciplined experimentation;
You have experience and passion for fostering collaborative teams.

**The following will be considered a plus**:
Knowledge of machine learning algorithms;
Strong background in math, statistics, or numerical computation;
Experience with deep learning frameworks, such as TensorFlow, PyTorch, among others;
Significant contributions to open source projects;
Experience working with public clouds, especially AWS.
