Role Summary:
Contribute to the implementation of work plans in order to ensure compliance with the requirements of the legislation related to the Emergency, such as: Technical Instruction of the Bahia Military Fire Brigade, and relevant national and international standards (NFPA, ABNT NBR) aiming at the elimination and prevention of personal and material losses, ensuring goals established within defined policies with a focus on continuous improvement of the system.

- Carry out emergency care in internal and external areas (fire fighting and first aid);
- Daily update the members of the emergency brigade present in the work shift;
- Operate in emergency control operations according to internal procedures at and COFIC.
- Assist in the provision of appropriate means for the containment and / or absorption of leaks of chemical products when requested, such as: sawdust, sandbags, chemical absorbents, disposing in places determined by the environment area.
- Monitor daily conducting tests on the communication system.
- Conduct practical training for brigadiers in emergency scenarios established so that the team is uniform for emergency care.
- Inspect and check protection and fire fighting equipment.
- Check the services of fire fighting equipment, such as inspection and recharge of extinguishers.
- Visually inspect the respiratory protective equipment and record in an appropriate form.
- Participate in the stoppage of equipment that requires rescue services and check the personnel with necessary equipment.
- Carry out inspection of the company's emergency vehicles and request maintenance whenever necessary.
- Provide necessary means and corrections for renewal of the technical report of the fire department and audits of the insurance company.
- Assist in carrying out a simulated operation to combat accidents and rescue people.
- Keep inspection records organized and easily accessible for possible audits.
- Check and carry out internal routes by checking traffic conditions (closed streets, better access, etc.).
- Monitoring and inspecting, repairing and replacing hoses and hydrants shelters, replacing utensils and demarcating areas for the installation of this equipment whenever they are damaged and recording in an appropriate form.
- Monitor the realization and repair, exchange and maintenance of valves and hydrants connections installed in the area.
- Monitor the exit, entry and use of the extinguishing unit, distributed in the area.
- Carry out inspections and operate water monitoring cannons located in the area and verify records made in an appropriate form.
- Operate in environmental emergencies, contain oil spills and collect these for identified barrels.
- Monitor the removal of residues from fires, checking the risk of new ignition.
- Carry out monitoring of the fire detection and alarm system, checking in the area, each alarm generated and recording it in a form.
- Inspect the area daily to detect risks, register in an appropriate form and indicate corrective and preventive measures.
- Carry out weekly inspection and tests of the pumps that make up the fire system and record in an appropriate form.
- Carry out inspection of the emergency lighting system and verify records made on appropriate forms.
- Conduct monthly inspection of sprinkler systems in the entire area and verify records made in an appropriate form.
- Carry out inspection of emergency doors, carrying out demarcation of the area destined for the installation of this equipment whenever they present damage and check records made in an appropriate form.
- Carry out inspection of fire blocking valves, greasing, identification, and records in an appropriate form.
- Perform Inspection of the equipment that makes up the environmental emergency kit, carry out painting, signal them and record them in an appropriate form.
- Perform Inspection and maintenance on surface wind position indicators (windsocks) and record them in an appropriate form.
- Perform technical measurements to release confined spaces and other activities in the industrial security area, as well as activities with rope access.
- Conduct and lead emergency care in the company and outside when requested by COFIC.
- Conduct training for all company employees in: Emergency communication, emergency plan, avoidance plan and practical training for NR 33 and 35.
