Experience in tax, finance or a related analytical field experience

The Finance Operations organization works with every part of Amazon to provide procure-to-pay, revenue-to-receipt, real estate and facilities, operations accounting and operations excellence services with the highest level of controllership at the lowest cost to the company. We provide the backbone systems and operational processes which completely, accurately, and validly pay Amazon's suppliers, invoice our customers and report financial results.
This role will be a key member of the Finance Operations Regulatory & Compliance team supporting Amazon's businesses in LATAM. You will be a key player of a team comprised of high performing operations excellence and finance professionals to drive upstream systems and process initiatives which ensure regulatory compliance and the highest controllership as Amazon pays suppliers and collects from customers. In this team, you will thrive in a challenging and fast-paced environment and be part of an atmosphere of constant improvement. This role interacts deeply with Business and Business Finance teams, Tax, Accounting and Service Centers.

Key job responsibilities
- Work cross-organizationally and functionally to identify key opportunities to monitor/review regulatory deliverables for accuracy/efficiency, develop and implement plans to address those opportunities and measure and monitor success and impacts.
- Act as a single point of contact for LATAM regulatory compliance and drive actions holding a high controllership bar.
- Develop and implement effective organization communications with business partners and senior management on key regulatory issues and drive business decisions ensuring compliance
- Identify and quantify compliance (as well as related financial and operational) risks to FinOps and across the company
- Establish a regular cadence of engagement with the Finance Operations Service Center and our many business partners, ensuring process excellence to deliver effective governance and risk management.
- Drive and support scalable automated processes and align with the automation team regarding feasibility of automation to address on-going regulatory changes.

Sao Paulo, SP, BRA
- Experience in Accounts Receivable or Account Payable
- MBA, or CPA
- Experience working in a matrixed environment, influencing strategy, and achieving goals by working across the organization
- Experience in participating in continuous improvement projects in your team to scale and improve controllership with measurable results
- Experience demonstrating problem solving and root cause analysis
- LATAM regulatory experience, including interpretation and implementation.
