CS&D is a newly created board area focused on establishing greater connectivity and intimacy in SAP customer interaction through a range of distinctive and innovative services addressing specific customer needs. The CS&D Global Customer Engagement & Services team will drive successful delivery and implementation in support of Customer Lifetime Value (CLTV), elevating Adopt and Consume to its full potential within all regions and fostering a successful customer engagement and experience for all relevant customer scenarios.

As Global Customer Engagement & Services (GCE&S) organization under the Customer Services & Delivery (CS&D) Board Area, we help customers to innovate fast and realize the business benefits from their SAP investments.

The CS&D GCE&S organization will be comprised of ~ 5,000 employees organised regionally, with a P&L into Services of €4.5BN that delivers a simple to consume adoption and consumption portfolio, driving cloud success and customer outcomes.

**What you will do**

As an Enterprise Architect, you will be assigned onto strategic customer accounts for your region and support our customers to unlock the value of SAP’s solutions and enable rapid innovation adoption, thanks to expert architecture guidance. Enterprise Architects act as advisors to customers and lead them towards the next step of their transformation by providing holistic advice and guidance.

Enterprise Architects are leading the digital transformation of our customers with our expertise in Cloud architecture, system integration, strategic planning, and technology implementation. Their primary missions are to drive the RISE Methodology and Clean Core imperative to accelerate the adoption of SAP solutions and the consumption of innovation. A strong focus on delivering true business transformations within RISE engagements and supporting partners to fully embrace SAP’s RISE Methodology and Clean Core strategy are the backbone of this commitment.

Enterprise Architects play a crucial role in orchestrating the development of a holistic enterprise architecture model that supports established enterprise goals. To help companies to future-proof their technology environment we serve them from the SELECT phase where the NorthStar Enterprise Architecture is being created, to ADOPT (Clean core transformation coming in) to the DERIVE phase (translate the NorthStar Enterprise Architecture to its different SAP solutions, including BTP realizing the Clean Core).

**The Key Responsibilities include**:

- Be the Transformation Partner for the CIO (or other CxO business transformation sponsor at customer's), driving architecture effectiveness.
- Shape the agenda and acts as trusted advisor (engagement development)
- Prepare & Support adoption towards full consumption, identifying and mitigating technical adoption risks.
- Align with partner to SAP's Clean Core mantra and promote SAP best practices.
- Provide customer context to all teams requested to contribute to the overall customer transformation effort to improve customer proximity and experience. Partner with the respective development organisations to provide input to architecture roadmaps based on field customer and partner experience
- Engage with MUs, Regional, and Global Stakeholders to maximize the use of SAP assets and network for customers worldwide. Work hand-in-hand with the Account team from the Select phase for the Customer Value Journey. Lead the SAP team through the ADOPT and DERIVE phases. Work closely with the PDM, E-CSM, TQM, etc. roles to advise them on expert architectural services that the customer might need.

- Promote and develop the use of tools and methodology to spread their consistent use throughout the organisation. Supports the Clean Core success plan execution in deriving clear recommendations using the RISE Methodology. Use (publicly available) SAP Reference architecture, content and best practices to guide towards an enterprise architecture with clean core principles.
- Act as Role Model leading key customer transformations driving innovation adoption and building trust.
