**Description of Department**:
You will predominantly be deployed in London and the Home Counties, however you should be prepared to work throughout the United Kingdom depending on operational requirements.

We are seeking applicants who either have a current surveillance qualification or who can demonstrate the potential to successfully achieve this standard.
- You will have an understanding of part 2 of RIPA 2000 and relevant codes of practice.
- You will be familiar with assessing threat and risk in dynamic environments using the National Decision Model.
- You will have a strong team working ethic.
- You will be willing to vary your hours of duty to meet operational needs, often at short notice.

**Required Qualifications**
- Current level 1 surveillance qualification

Or
- Current advanced driver and demonstrates sufficient potential to successfully complete surveillance training requirements.

Or
- successfully complete driving and surveillance training requirements.

**Desirable criteria**
- Current police motorcyclist with desire to undertake surveillance motorcyclist training.

**Selection Process**
- Priority will be given to those with current surveillance qualifications who may be required to complete an assessment exercise depending on experience.
- Standard drivers who are successful at shortlisting stage will be invited to attend a driving assessment to determine potential to achieve advanced driving standards.
